Before Establishment： Before the establishment, one of the founders Mr Chen Huang Tu(Winson Chen) was once a sales in a Taiwan instrument trading company in 1994. Then, he was specialized in dealing antique fine violins.

Origin of ViolinerString： 1998, Mr Winson Chen frequently visited mainland China for some business reasons, and at that time, he met Beare Charton and Dave Elliso, who were visiting China as well. Profound friendship was established between them in the next year. In the late summer of 1999, Mr Winson Chen visited Mr Charton in New York, while the latter was intended to retire. It was the visit, on which they made an important decision, which changed their future life—to establish a workshop together to make fine violins, and pour all of their years’ experience and technology into the newly born workshop. The initial LOGO was designed by Mr Winson Chen, which represented the spirit of spreading the culture of violin-making worldwide. The initial LOGO was utilized till the end of year 2010, and the initial spirit was already achieved. In January 2011, in order to innovate the company culture and products, new LOGO was created, added more fashionable and lively elements.

Early ViolinerString： In the past, most players couldn’t get suitable instruments at a cheap price; instead, they had to choose some expensive European new or used violins. ViolinerString heard their voices, and our products are principally for professional students. In the very beginning, ViolinerString produced 300 professional-level violins, 200 violas and 100 cellos, dispatching them to global famous universities for their free trial, aiming to get feedbacks and advice from them. Unfortunately, our products were not accepted. After 3-months innovation, we re-sent the products to the former users; ultimately, we got high comments and praises from them, we did it! And all the users couldn’t believe that we were selling these fine violins at such lower prices. We believe that, as long as we work with efforts and persistence, more and more players will buy our instruments, and more and more musicians will be born in the world!—the company was born here!  

ViolinerString not only used traditional strict technology in making violins, but also did researches in using new technology in wood-resonance, sound box conducting and varnish-changing to make all the violins more like Italian antique violins!
